Edizioni Curci S.r.l. is one of the oldest, most famous and active Music Publishing Companies in Italy. Founded in 1860 by Curci family members, it has been run by the family ever since then, strongly defending the Company’s independence.

Despite its profitable activity in the field of classic, concert, opera, pedagogical and educational music, Edizioni Curci is famous worldwide for its assiduous presence in the field of domestic pop music. Its catalogue lists over 45,000 titles. In the '30s, Edizioni Curci began expanding its activity beyond the Italian borders by introducing well-known American music to Italy and by circulating leading international hits produced under the influence of US, French, German and English films.
Edizioni Curci has always closely followed Italian songwriters, among whom we mention Giovanni D'Anzi, Pippo Barzizza, Domenico Modugno, Pino Donaggio, Toto Cutugno, Giorgio Gaber, Bruno Canfora, Vasco Rossi.
Worth mentioning in the field of classic, opera and concert music are the equally famous Pietro Mascagni, Francesco Cilea and Franco Mannino. Edizioni Curci also owns international rights on many works by the famous composer and bandoneon player Astor Piazzolla, with “Libertango” as his masterpiece.

At the end of the ‘50s, Edizioni Curci commenced its own record producing activity by forming CAROSELLO C.E.M.E.D. S.r.l., designed to partner Edizioni Curci’s publishing business, to effectively promote the corporate repertoire and to discover new talents. Hence, some famous artists were engaged, including Domenico Modugno, Giorgio Gaber, Toto Cutugno, Vasco Rossi, Johnny Dorelli, and more recently, Miguel Bosé, Skunk Anansie, Emis Killa, Nesli, Bjork, Jarabe De Palo, Saule, Coez, Verdiano, John De Leo, Alessandro Casillo.

Edizioni Curci has steadily increased its repertoire through an on-going diligent quest for songwriters and by developing the classical and educational catalogues in the publishing sector with the assistance of famous composers and masters. It has also developed business in the framework of film soundtracks and in the sector of theatrical works by co-producing musicals and shows. Just recently, Edizioni Curci placed the song “Forever” by A. Venditti in the internationally released filmLa Grande Bellezza ("The Great Beauty”), directed by Paolo Sorrentino, which won the  Oscar for Foreign Language Film in 2014.
Currently, Edizioni Curci is the publisher, along with Palomar and RAI, of the original soundtrack of the TV series “Braccialetti Rossi”, composed by Stefano Lentini, and including 9 new songs written by Niccolò Agliardi.

Edizioni Curci has also extended its collaboration-oriented philosophy by managing the music catalogues of many foreign publishers, including such big names as Spirit Music Group, Edward B. Marks Music, National League Music, F. Hollander Music, Core Music (Rush), Eaton Music, Kassner Associated Publishers, Penguin Café Editions, Concord Music, Bocu-Jonjo Music, Josef Weinberger / Octava Music (classical music), Editions Mario Bois (operas, operettas, ballets and concerts), Editions Jacques Brel, Music 18 (works by Joe Dassin), Budde Music France, Rolf Budde Musikverlag (incl. Sugar Hill Music), Termidor Musikveralg, Sidomusic/Nowa Music Publishing, Strictly Confidential Music and Fujipacific Music Inc.
For several years Edizioni Curci has also been operating through either wholly owned companies or local agencies in France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Benelux, Switzerland, Scandinavia, Greece, the Czech and Slovak Republics, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Israel, Russia, USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, South-Africa, Japan, Korea, South East Asia and Australia.

Edizioni Curci’s management is currently entrusted to Dr. Alfredo Gramitto Ricci, the Manager who, brought up and guided by his father Giuseppe’s international experience, is constantly keeping all of the company’s departments (pop music, classical and educational music) updated on the current trends. In fact, he unwaveringly focuses on both updating the entire extensive catalogue created by his father and on bringing out new songwriters and composers on board, including now Maurizio Fabrizio, Pacifico, Sandro Cerino, Niccolò Agliardi, Luca Chiaravalli, Saverio Grandi, Max Zanotti, Emis Killa, Nesli and many others who doubtless will not fail to conquer their target audiences.
Of strategic relevance is Edizioni Curci’s recent take over of the companies Nisa (which has the artist/songwriter Tiziano Ferro as a leading), Donkey Shot with Daniele Silvestris songs, and just recently, the companies Cronometro and Target, including works by Povia (hit song “I bambini fanno oh“), Francesco Baccini and Cristiano De André.
